We dress the observer, not the space aesthetic.
The market sells NASA souvenirs, galaxy-photo sublimation, and insider text jokes. Nobody was drawing chart-accurate, instrument-literate originals at premium quality — so we did. First Light is for the buyer who owns (or is saving for) a scope, logs objects, knows seeing from transparency, and is quietly proud of standing in a cold field at 2 AM.
Everything here — the guides, the field-kit picks, the catalog — is drawn in the hobby's own notation: atlas symbols to convention, RA in hours, light paths that actually converge where the eyepiece sits. Correct enough that a club member nods at it across a star party.

How we work
Logged, not lab-spun
We don't pretend to run a test lab. Recommendations come from real sessions, club consensus, and forum wisdom — and we say so, every time.
Paid by clicks, not brands
Some links earn us a commission at no cost to you. No brand buys a ranking, and gear that fails the field gets removed even when it paid the bills.
The catalog funds the desk
Every design is original and made to order. Sales keep the guides free and the telescope pointed up.
Join the field notes
One field report a week — targets, sky events, and the occasional new plate. UT timestamps, no noise.
